A Future Filled With Hope
We have every reason to have faith, hope, and expectation for our future.
Why?
Because God is smack dab in the middle of that future.
Consider this familiar scripture:
Scripture Focus
Jeremiah 29:11-13
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
No matter what I may be going through now—and there are trials, challenges, and burdens that we all have to carry—that’s life.
But in the midst of it all, I know that God loves me.
I know that may sound a little cliché, and everyone would probably agree with it, but for me it is the most important feature of my life.
God loves me!
And He loves you.
Because of that, He has plans and a purpose for your life.
Ultimately, we are going to be with Him in heaven for all eternity.
Yes, there is pain now.
Sometimes the climb is steep and difficult.
But God gives us the strength to move forward.
He gives us the power to overcome.
He gives us the determination to never quit and never give up.
We are all marching toward a glorious and wonderful future.
Don’t jeopardize that future with sin, anger, unforgiveness, or anything else that fails to reflect the virtue and love of Jesus Christ.
So be encouraged today.
Look up.
Get the View From Above for your current situation.
Know—above all else—that God loves you.
He will take care of you.
He has already secured your future if you will love Him in return and continue to walk in obedience.
Scripture Focus
Philippians 1:6 (AMP)
“I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will continue to perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].”
And of course…
We know it continues far beyond that!
Today’s Challenge
Whatever you are facing today, lift your eyes above your present circumstances.
Remember that God is already preparing your future.
Trust His plans, walk in faithful obedience, and refuse to allow anything to distract you from the hope He has promised.
Live today with confidence, knowing that the God who began His work in you will faithfully complete it—and that your greatest days are still ahead.
