Hold Fast, Consider One Another, and Stay Faithful

There’s a lot here to consider.

These three verses are chock-full of revelation that should be of great help, encouragement, and direction for your life.

Scripture Focus

Hebrews 10:23-25

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for HE WHO PROMISED IS FAITHFUL. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”

He Who Promised Is Faithful

All I can say about verse 23 is…

YES HE IS!

Faithful, that is.

Therefore, we have confidence.

And because we have confidence, we never waver, doubt, question, or second-guess God’s good intentions for our lives.

God is reliable.

God is trustworthy.

We should never allow doubt to knock us off our feet.

So then, we seize and hold on tightly to the confession of our hope, which means we never stop speaking God’s promises and the certainty and truthfulness of His Word.

Consider One Another

Verse 24 tells us to keep our eyes on each other and consider how we might demonstrate love by doing for each other that which builds up, encourages, and edifies those around us.

That is a very important feature of what it means to be a Christian.

Be Faithful to Assemble Together

Verse 25 encourages us to be faithful to assembling together with other believers for the purpose of worship, giving, and hearing the Word of God.

We take time to visit the altar, repent, and make decisions so that we can move forward in the will of God.

We encourage each other as we all advance together in obedience.

Today’s Challenge

These verses provide a full meal of revelation that should give us a full day of thought and meditation.

Take time today to reflect on these sacred truths and consider how best to apply them to your life.

Hold fast to your hope because He who promised is faithful.

Consider how you can love, encourage, and strengthen those around you.

Remain faithful to assembling with other believers for worship and the hearing of God’s Word.

Then continue moving forward together in obedience to the will of God.
