Let Today Be a Day of Praise, Worship, and Thanksgiving!

Let’s make today a day of praise, worship, and thanksgiving!

Now…shouldn’t every day be that?! You should make it so. It will transform your life, your disposition, and your day when you begin by praising the living God who has saved you, redeemed you, and is in the process of fulfilling His wonderful purpose in your life.

My gratitude begins with thanking God for the day of my conversion…what a miracle to continue to behold. The miracle that it took to get me to an altar and the wonder of sins forgiven, life transformed, having been born again by the riches of His mercy and grace.

Thank you, Jesus!

That’s a great way to begin the day. Our hearts, minds, and voices giving praise to almighty God for the great love with which He loved us.

Of course, there is so much more. We praise Him not just for what He has done but for who He is!

[1 John 4:16] “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”

The God who created all things, the God who is so vast He can occupy every square inch of the universe He created, loves me and lives in me. That is almost too much to comprehend.

This is where our minds should be every morning, first thing.

[Colossians 3:2] ‘Set your mind on things above and not on things on the earth…’.

The time to do that is early in the morning. If you will make this your habit, your daily practice, it will empower you to live a full and complete life, getting Jesus Christ in the forefront of all things.

So, I rejoice early, I am grateful first thing in the morning, I praise Him when I rise, and I will worship Him and Him alone.

By nature, we all praise something. With some people, it’s their money and material possessions, or their position and success. Others may praise the celebrity culture and individuals who occupy it. We can praise good things like the people around us who help us and family.

But above all, only Jesus Christ sits on the throne of heaven, and the first order of that which I praise and worship is Him.

When I am praising God, I am fulfilled like no other time in my life. Something deep and wonderful overwhelms me. It is early praise that will strengthen you and give you the spiritual energy you’re going to need to face the day…

Therefore, let today and every day be a day of praise, worship, and thanksgiving!

[Psalm 90:14] “Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.”

[Psalms 30:5] “Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”

[Psalms 92:1-2] “It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night…”
