OVERCOMING DISAPPOINTMENT

Definition: Sadness or displeasure caused by the non-fulfillment of one’s hopes or expectations.

This happens…and it happens often.

Not everything works out the way we anticipate.

Disappointment tests the quality of our hearts and attitudes.

Can we maintain the victory in the face of disappointment? Can we maintain faith, hope, and confidence in God’s grace, favor, and will?

Probably in some way, you may very well experience disappointment today.

Don’t allow it to foster an attitude that is not a reflection of Christ’s virtue.

It’s your job to maintain a right heart despite the disappointments of life.

Proverbs 4:23

“Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.”

Don’t view every disappointment as a negative, but as an opportunity to maintain a right heart, overcome, rise above, and continue to glorify God…and perhaps learn an important lesson.

As they say, “roll with the punches” today.

…and at the end of the day, be grateful for all that God has done and is doing!

And always keep this in mind:

Romans 8:28

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
