Thoughts of the day: I’M JUST REALLY FRUSTRATED RIGHT NOW

Updated: Apr 8, 2020

RANDOM THOUGHTS ON IMPORTANT MATTERS: I’M JUST REALLY FRUSTRATED RIGHT NOW!! That’s what I heard someone say this morning. It’s a common feeling isn’t it? And it makes me wonder, WHAT ARE YOU FRUSTRATED ABOUT TODAY? Some of our most commonly felt emotions are linked with being frustrated. Anger, hopelessness, despair...you get the idea and we can feel them all at once or flow in and out of a combination of feelings when we’re frustration with life. It’s our relationships, marriage and family, a past offense and the wound still lingers from having been hurt, wounded or betrayed.

The experience of being frustrated refers to having a feeling or expressing distress and annoyance, especially because of inability to change or achieve something or the sense that we are being prevented from progressing, succeeding, or being fulfilled. In psychology, frustration is a common emotional response to opposition, related to anger, annoyance and disappointment. Frustration arises from the perceived resistance to the fulfillment of an individual's will or goal and is likely to increase when a will or goal is denied or blocked. If we’re not careful our frustrations can result in destructive behavior. People turn to drugs or alcohol as a means of trying to relieve all the negative feelings and emotions.

Prescriptions are written as a means of delivering us from the depression that can result. OK, enough of the analysis and diagnosis—now the cure. Well, not exactly a cure because we can’t eliminate the frustrations of life, but what we can do by GOD’S GRACE is COPE! God will not allow you to have to deal with anything, that with His help, you cannot handle with grace and dignity and keeping your heart and attitudes right.

“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the WAY OF ESCAPE, that you may be ABLE TO BEAR IT.” [1 Corinthians 10:13]

It’s not eliminating, it is overcoming. Whether it’s ‘temptation’ or the FRUSTRATIONS OF LIFE—WE OVERCOME. We can get out from underneath their influence and have the victory!

I’M JUST REALLY FRUSTRATED RIGHT NOW?!—if that’s what your saying—it’s not necessary.
