The View From Above: Thoughts to Help With Everyday Life

Today’s Faithfulness Determines Tomorrow’s Future

Today’s faithfulness can determine a lot about your future.

That is how faithfulness works.

Faithfulness and dependability on your job lead to raises and promotions. Faithfulness and diligence with your studies produce good marks in school and can lead to degrees and rewarding careers. Faithfulness in your marriage and relationships leads to great blessings.

Of course, this is also true when it comes to our relationship with Jesus.

Faithful obedience, a faithful pursuit of His will for your life, and faithfulness to His church—which He purchased with His own blood—will lead to an ever-deepening and more fulfilling relationship with God.

In church, you are going to hear what God wants to say to your life right now.

We often call it a timely word in due season—something that ministers directly to a need in your life.

When you miss church, you may miss something vitally important for your future.

I cannot tell you how many times my life was changed, transformed, and radically altered because of one sermon preached at just the right time that ministered to a very important area of my life.

You may be facing challenges. You may be confronted with important decisions. You may need guidance and direction in a confusing circumstance.

This is why faithful church attendance is so vital and important.

Never treat it casually. Always treat it as the high priority that it is.

Do your very best to arrange your schedule around being in the right place at the right time—which is being in position to hear from God.

This very day, God may have a miracle for you. You may need deliverance in an area of your life. You may need healing.

Whatever the need may be, it all takes place as we remain faithful to the church that Jesus has built and continues to build.

Scripture Focus

Hebrews 10:25

”…not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching.”

Faithfulness is not merely about attendance. It is about positioning yourself to hear from God, grow spiritually, and receive what He desires to do in your life.

Today’s Challenge

Examine your priorities today.

Are you positioning yourself to hear from God? Are you treating your relationship with Christ and His church as the high priority they deserve?

Remember: today’s faithfulness can determine a lot about your future.
